Saigon, shit. I'm still only in Saigon

ok, only been here a day now - anyone recognise the words above from a film?? pretty obvious but had to say it

saigon pretty cool, good to back in a proper city again - the main drag is pretty much like the khao san road (Bangkok), loads of cafes and fake guide books (they actually print fake books, amazing!

went to the war remenants museum this morning which was pretty shocking and horrific - loads of photos and storys of the horror of war - but i guess its better to know the truth of what goes on, even if its horrible to hear it

just read the quiet american by graham greene which was excellent, and also set in Saigon, so to pay for homage we went for cocktails on the roof of the Majestic hotel, which is where he spent many an evening - lovely views

was funny to use a urinal that he prob used too!! sorry, but im a bit of a graham greene fan, so forgive me that one

so off to the mekong delta tomorrow i think on a 3 day tour, hopefully on a few boat trips as well - then back here for new years eve hopefully

for some reason there are loads of water parks here so we may treat ourselves to a splashing on new years day
