suits and cycles
have spent the last few days here in hoi an, and its absolutely gorgeous - its on the river with loads of lovely little streets with nice bars and is quite french lookng (france controlled vietnam in the run up to the first indochina war)
so the hotel we are in (8 dollars a night) has free bicicle hire and its so flat here that weve just spent the last two days cruising around, and went out to the beach as well -
theres a massive tailoring trade and they will follow you down the street to try and sell you some stuff, and they can knock it up in hours too - apparently the going rate for a silk suit is about 50-60 dollars, and the quality is superb - ive been so tempted to get one and send it back - but ive resisted the urge so far
tonight we are off the cafe des amis which has (apparently) some of the nicest food in vietnam - we are splashing out a whole 3 quid on a 5 course dinner - so that should be lovely
we are off the hue tomorrow on the early bus, another early start - only gettin one lie in a week here , its criminal!
ok then , see yer later
