bloody hell, did it.....

day two of the PADI course, and we've gone from a 6 foot pool to a 12 meter open water dive - this is no big deal to anyone whos dived but it scared the pants off me - i had to surface within 2 minutes, but mananged to go back down again, its pretty nuts when your just relying on some tube in yer mouth to keep you breathing

quite a few times i was ready to chuck the towel in but managed to hang on, and cant say im at the point of enjoying yet, but after these two dives i reckon i might like the next one - hopefully

we also did the nuts excesises of ditching our mouthpiece and recovering it, and using someone elses mouthpiece - me and chris also worked out a new hand signal/smile for 'peeing in my wetsuit' - has to be done :-)

just for the record, 12 meters is about 6 to 7 times the depth of a normal swimming pool, hence the major early freakout
